Our Services

Three ways we can help

Each of our services is shaped around the realities of family life — not legal categories. We work with you to find the approach that fits your circumstances.

Our Methodology

How we approach family law matters

Listen carefully

We begin by understanding the full picture — your situation, your concerns, and what matters most to you. This shapes everything that follows.

Explain your options clearly

Once we understand your circumstances, we explain what the available paths look like — the likely steps, timelines, and costs — so you can decide with confidence.

Work steadily alongside you

We take on the legal work and keep you informed throughout. Each stage is explained before it begins, and we are accessible when you have questions.

Across all three services, our standard is the same: calm, careful legal work that respects the people involved and aims for outcomes that hold up over time.

Service 01

Separation Support

Separation is rarely straightforward, even when both parties are in agreement. There are documents to prepare, correspondence to manage, and decisions to make at a time when clarity does not always come easily. We take as much of that weight as we can.

Our approach keeps the process as calm and orderly as possible. We explain each step before it happens and handle the formal requirements on your behalf, so you can direct your energy towards the things that matter more.

What is included

  • Initial consultation to understand your circumstances
  • Document preparation and review
  • Handling of formal correspondence
  • Plain language explanation of each step
  • Written summary after each consultation

Typical process

  1. 1Initial consultation — we listen and understand your situation
  2. 2Fee agreement confirmed in writing
  3. 3Document preparation and review with you
  4. 4Filing and correspondence management
  5. 5Final review and close of matter

A note on pace

We understand that separation is a significant transition. The process moves at a pace that works for you — there is no pressure to finalise matters before you feel ready. Decisions taken steadily tend to hold up better over time.

Children's arrangements service

On court involvement

Court proceedings in children's matters are pursued only where other avenues have not produced a workable result. We always explore agreement between parties first — it tends to produce more durable outcomes and protects relationships that matter to children.

Service 02

Children's Arrangements

Decisions about custody, access, and maintenance sit at the intersection of legal requirements and the very real daily lives of children. We approach these matters with the care they demand — keeping the children's wellbeing, not just the legal process, at the centre of every discussion.

We aim for arrangements that are workable for both parents, sustainable over time, and genuinely in the interests of the children involved. Where possible, we work towards agreed outcomes that do not require court intervention.

What is included

  • Consultation on custody and access options
  • Child maintenance calculation and advice
  • Drafting of parenting arrangements
  • Negotiation on your behalf where needed
  • Court representation where required

Typical process

  1. 1Detailed consultation — your priorities and the children's circumstances
  2. 2Exploration of agreed arrangements between parties
  3. 3Drafting of parenting plan or arrangement documentation
  4. 4Formalisation of agreed terms
  5. 5Court application where agreement is not reached

Service 03

Family Mediation

Mediation offers a way to resolve disagreements between family members in a structured, private setting — without the pressure, cost, or adversarial dynamic of contested court proceedings. It is often a faster and significantly less stressful path to resolution.

As a neutral mediator, our role is to hold a calm space and help both parties move through difficult conversations at a manageable pace. We do not take sides. We help people find agreements they can both live with.

What is included

  • Individual pre-mediation meeting with each party
  • Structured joint mediation sessions
  • Neutral facilitation of discussions
  • Written summary of agreements reached
  • Guidance on formalising agreements if needed

Typical process

  1. 1Separate pre-mediation sessions with each party
  2. 2Joint session(s) with neutral mediator
  3. 3Agreements documented and reviewed
  4. 4Parties advised on formalising any outcomes

Is mediation right for your situation?

Mediation works best when both parties are willing to engage. It does not require you to agree on everything before you start — only to try. We can help you assess whether it is a suitable option at your initial consultation.
